Technology and Computer Class Updates
Computer ClassRosetta Stone: Students are progressing through the Rosetta Stone Spanish Curriculum. Schools throughout the US are using this curriculum for language learning, we are excited to provide this opportunity to our students. For additional information about this language immersion curriculum click here: Rosetta Stone.The seventh, eighth, fifth and sixth grades successfully submitted short films and commercials to the St. Helena Family Film Festival. Thank you to Cathy Buck at the Cameo for providing this opportunity to the community.
The third and fourth grades finished their "about me" power points. The kindergarten, first and second graders have worked successfully through lessons in computer basics, keyboarding, beginning word processing, presentation software, organizing information and navigating online. They have also mastered navigating through the Rosetta Stone online learning software and made good progress in those lessons. Please be aware that summer may be a time when students are online without supervision. Below are two internet safety sites for parents:

Using the home row keys and correct finger positions helps students become proficient at keyboarding while developing speed. Maintaining good posture is essential to using computers without damaging neck, back and shoulders.
